Meet the Organisers

Claire Scantlebury and Neil Cocker organise TEDxCardiffTEDxCardiff is a not-for-Profit event organised by Claire Scantlebury and Neil Cocker.

Claire likes to get involved in cool and exciting things.  As well as being Production Manager for leading Cardiff digital agency Sequence, Claire is also co-founder of Cardiff Web Scene, and co-organiser of TEDxCardiffwith Neil.  She is also a Cardiff Ambassador and is a local champion for Google’s Getting Welsh Business Online initiative.

Claire is passionate about providing opportunities for people to get together to talk about cool and funky things which is how, through working with Neil, Cardiff became the first UK city to hold an Ignite event.

Claire also loves photography, cats, shoes, design, fashion and anything style related! You can follow her on @Claire_S or check out her blog. You can also watch Claire’s talk on Branding at Ignite Bristol.

Neil does too much. He is MD of Dizzyjam, a creative industries consultant and runs Ignite Cardiff and TEDxCardiff with Claire.

After running a successful record label for many years, DJing across 30+ countries, and A&Ring a top ten hit he decided he was getting too old for the music industry and now fills his days with the above, and is training for a triathlon.

Neil is passionate about startup culture, and what happens when you put lots of creative people in a room and feed them inspiration (and booze)… You can follow him on Twitter at @neilcocker & find out more on his website here.
